A lifelong dream comes true, the third time and not the last ...

Daily Diary 1

Hello everybody!!!

I am in Chicago. I can't believe it, but I am here now. I arrived here on Thuesday afternoon around 05am. My girlfriend picked me up from the airport

The first thing that I had to realize, is that you can't go anywhere in a few seconds or minutes. It took us about 20 minutes from the gate I came out to the parking place.

We had to go by foot and train. I mean in my city you would be able to go from the north to the south in that time!

The second thing that I noticed very fast, is that everything is so much bigger here. The streets, the houses, the areas and especially the cars. A middle class mercedes or BMW or a normal or mini van is called a very small car here! ( I guess I saw about 5 very big limos on my way to the house)

When we came to the house, I felt like in one of this college movies. The sidewalk is so big and the houses look so different to the german ones, I was only waiting for the newspaper boy to drive by and throw a newspaper to the door. (Andrew knows what I mean)

My girlfriends family is really nice and they are very hospitable to me.

The food is also very different to the german one. I am not speaking bad or mean when I say that it's no wonder that americans are all fat people. We had breakfast in a dinner, and I thought it's a good idea to order some american eggs. I got so much, it's unbelieveable!!!

At least two people would have enough with it, but the fact that the most people look like two, makes it clearly. (...by the way, they waste food like it's nothing) And you get as much coffee and water as you want all the time.

One very good thing that I noticed is, that the waitress are very nice. They really know how to sell something and germany could really learn from that.

Well, for all you musicheads, I guess I know why Relief Records has it sign. The sign for railroad is exactly the same as the Relief Records sign. They (Cajmere) only changed the colours. Maybe you can imagine what for a feeling it is to realize something like that for me. I am in the middle of it. I have the feeling to live and understand it. Chicago is the birthplace of house music..........

We also visited Christines uncle. This was a very strange thing!!! The first thing he did, is to show me his weapons and believe me when I say he's like a one man army! I've never seen so many weapons in my life. Pistols, pumpguns, and machine guns...............
(We saw a movie in school about this american problem and I have to say that they are really like that...)

OK, I could tell you more and more for hours now, but I will finish my first e-mail now. I made some cool photos so far and I want to say Thank You to Andrew again, because he gave me his digital camera. I will keep you informed........
....tomorrow you'll get my next daily dairy!!!

Daily Diary 2

A wonderful good morning to everyone!!!

I just woke up and the sun is shinning. It's such a wonderful day! I guess I am into this timezone now and the jetlag should be over. Well, here is my second daily diary.....

Yesterday we went to a store to buy some stuff and beer. It's really awesome how many crazy things they do have in the stores here, you can buy really everything here and I guess it is Andrews paradise!

When I stood at the cash box and put all the things on there, the cashie asked me for my I.D. because of the beer. I gave it to her and she also asked my girl for her I.D. My girl (Christine) told her that she isn't over 21. The cashier didn't give us the beer because my girlfriend isn't over 21. Anyway if I buy it or not. Isn't that crazy? When you have someone under 21 with you, you are not allowed to buy any alcohol. I guess that's ridiculous. You can drive a car or you can go to war, but you are not allowed to drink a beer!!!

Later in the evening we went to a pub to have some drinks and I should met some guys over there. It was such a nice evening and I can't wait to meet them again.

I also have to mention that it's great to see the city in the night. They have so many lights here and it looks like in a movie.....
....still everything has the touch of a movie for me. Well, tonight is my first gig in the Zentra Nightclub with Gene Farris. For those of you who know who Gene Farris is, it should be clear how much that means to me and how excited I am. I will tell you more about that tomorrow...

I am watching one movie in english every day and I have to say that I understand more and more every day. Well, I watched 3 so far, that's not that much, but at least something. I hope my english will be better after this trip.

Many Greetings to my english teacher by the way...

OK, I wish you all a nice day or night and you can write me always back. I would love to get some response from you guys...

B.

P.S.: I love the food over here!!!!

Daily Diary 3

Hello everyone....

....sorry for the delay, but I slept a lil bit longer today. Yesterday was such a crazy night. I was supposed to play at the Zentra Nightclub in Chicago, but when we came there a lil bit earlier, no one knew about it.

I had to call the promoter and he had to come. He called someone else and so on......

Furthermore they did not let my girlfriend in because she is under 21. Once again everyone called everyone and so on. It was really crazy!!!

Well, I got a new settime and played in a different room. But this wasn't a bad change, because I played on the big area now and I played a lil bit later as supposed. The first thing that pissed me off was that the turntable desk was almost as tall as me. For those of you who know how tall I am will this might be funny, but for me it was such a serious thing. The first thing I'm gonna do when I get back home, is to change my turntables hight on the desk!!!

I guess my set went well and I am happy with this night, I mean I had a real good time. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that my girl wasn't with me.......

I also met Greg Cash from Bumpin City Records yesterday and he went into the club with me. He is such a cool dude and very wordy as well. I will meet him next week again and maybe he will go with me to my second gig tonight, we will see... (...I got some slamin new Bumpin Records on vinyl, Thanks to Greg)

Tonight I will play at Seanchai in Chicago. This is not a real club, I guess it's more the lounge style. I will play an exclusive Techno set, and I want Thank Dominik Trumane again for giving me some classics for that.
I will tell you tomorrow more about that!!!

I took a lot of pics so far and I hope that they are good. I am trying to take as much as I can...

I wish you all a nice time and please don't hesitate to write me back!!!

B.

Daily Diary 4

Hey Folks,

...how are you doin'? I hope that you are ok, because I feel wonderful!!! Yeah, I do........

Yesterday I played at the Seanchai Lounge. It was not really good and I am honest. Not many people were there and the sound system was really fucked up. But the promoter was such a cool guy and we spoke a lot about the scene in Chicago....
...obviously it's all over the world the same. "Economy is low, bla bla bla" I can't hear it anymore. At least the music has more quality in my eyes, the resident DJ at Seanchai and Zentra played really different music to the DJ's in germany!!! For me it has more quality and has nothing to do with the german definition of House Music!

The promoter offered me another gig while I am here, but we will see, Idon't know if it's possible.

I also went with my girlfriends parents for dinner today. It was really nice. Her mom is such a nice person and I love her humour. For sure I will gain weight here, the food is so good and you get always so much...

One really cool thing that I noticed is, that you always get water for free and when you order coffee or Coca Cola you can get it always filled up again for free. That's cool!!!

Germany could learn so much from this country in this case.

Next week I will meet with Greg Cash again and hopefully I will also meet some other DJ's and Producers as well. We want to visit some studios here and Greg said that I will meet people such as Mike Dixon and Paul Johnson, but we will see...

A friend of my girlfriend showed me around and I saw the area where Michael Jordan lived. I have never seen houses like that. I would call them more a castle than a house. I guess there was no house under 5 million US Dollars. I will go there again to make some pictures. I really need to do that.

I also drove trough the street where DJ Sneak lived. It was or is not the best area and people told me that he never came out of his Ghetto style, even when he had the money....

OK, that's enough for today and please don't forget to write me back if you have the time and mood.

B.

Daily Diary 5

Hello @ all......

...it's just a wonderful today again and I have to say that I am really very lucky with the weather here at the moment!!! The sky is mostly everyday without any clouds and the sun is shinning. Only sometimes it's a lil bit cloudy over here. It's not really warm but such beautiful all day...

This morning I went golfing with my girlfriends Dad! This was so cool. We went for more than one hour and I had to realize that this sport isn't as easy as it looks like in TV. Well, at least I can hit the balls now.

My girlfriends Dad is very good in that sport and he goes as often as he can. Maybe I will go again with him.

My girlfriend is still at school right now and I just watched a good movie. It's still so hard to understand. It's so much easier for me with the subtitels. I mean I understand more and more, but to be honest, I really need the subtitles to understand everything...

This week I want to see downtown Chicago. My girlfriend drove me around it yet, but I want to go by train to see everything soon. The architecture is supposed to be one of the best in America. Can't wait to see it and make some cool pictures!!! I will tell you more about that for sure.

Greg told me that we will visit some of the famous old record stores here. But the problem is that they are mostly in the south side of Chicago and it's dangerous to go there. At least I should not go alone. I hope he will take me to them soon. I have no money anyway, but I have to see them and check what they sell here. I guess I will have to spend at least 50 bucks there anyway, hehe.....

Oh, one more thing. When I came from the Seanchai and we listened to the radio in the car, I had to realize how deep this city is into music. They played some DJ shows and the quality of mixing is so much better compared to germany. It's awesome. Some mixes I heard are at least the same quality as Bad Boy Bill for example. He's not the only one. It's also very cool to hear the WGCI station on air here. Because I always heard that only on tape or my computer. Here it's still alive and big..

This city gives me more than some inspirations. I can't wait to make some new studio mixes and I guess I got some energy back, even when I have to go back to the commercial germany.

All right, thats it for todaz again. Please write me something when you have the time and ask me questions if you want to....

B.

Daily Diary 6

Hello @ all!
Here is my 6th Daily Dairy. I hope you like it and Thank You for the feedback so far.

I took some really cool pictures yesterday. We went to the area with the nice houses again. I guess I made over 25 pictures of them. But the batteries died yesterday and I have to load them today.

On Monday I went with my girlfriend to her Dance practice. It's a german club which has a choir and a dance group and once a year they are celebrating their german ancestry in Chicago. My girlfriend dances very good. They have many different dances which are not easy to dance.

I also visited the "Brauhaus". It's a german restaurant over here. It's funny, because everything is very very very expensive there. They have a lot of german food and a live band. I guess I don't need to say that the music was horrible...

And yesterday I tried real mexican food. WOW, it's so good. I ate a huge burrito. I think I have never eaten that much....... ...I still feel like a round pig!!! But it tastes so good. ( I mentioned before that I will gain weight, right? )
Hmmm, I just notice that I write a lot about food.

I had a chat with my girlfriends brother and some of his friends about music. I noticed that they differ very strict between Hip Hop, Rap and Gangster Rap. For them it's not all the same or even similar. It's a very serious thing over here and I like this attitude. The most important thing is what the dude raps about....
.....this gives him quality or not. And quality means respect. A track can have the best beats, but when the guy raps about a "fake story", the whole track is crap. I wish to have this quality into house music...

Oh, I have to tell you about another interesting thing. There are squirells living all over Chicago and it's suburbs. But they are not normal squirells how we know them, they are so much bigger and completely grey. Thats evolution, eh!? I guess that's funny, isn't it?

OK, enough for today and like always, please ask me, write me, or give me just some feedback..........

B.

Daily Diary 7

Hey Folks,

...how are you doing? I hope fine!!!
I am very tired today, because I was djing yesterday. It was such a wonderful night at the W. Hotel near the Navy Pear. The hotel has a lounge in the 33rd floor where I played yesterday. I have to say that I have never seen such an exclusive place!!! WOW, that was so cool. You had an awesome view over Chicago from the lounge and it looked gorgeous at nighttime. I tried to make some pictures, but I don't know if they came out good...

The promoter was such a cool and nice guy and the people were more the first class type. Me and my girlfriend had some drinks in the lounge and we relaxed in one of the huge leather sofas.

I started my set with some vocal house tunes and I guess the people liked it. Later, I played some disco originals and Michael Jackson tracks and the people started dancing. Everyone was happy and at the end the promoter offered me to play this Saturday again, well, I guess my set rocked!!!

I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME, and the best is that my girl was with me!!!

Tomorrow we are planing to go to my girlfriends godparents again and we want to go on an island where they have their own house. I am looking forward to that and I will tell you more about it when we come back....

I wish you a nice day and we will watch some movies now.

B.

Daily Diary 8

Hello...

I wish you all a HAPPY EASTER!!! We just woke up and get ready to celebrate Easter with my girlfriends family. I am very excited. Actually I know the most of her family already, but I am still excited...

Oh, I have to mention that the "Easter Bunny" brought me something today. He found me even in the USA, isn't that nice of him....

Yesterday we were to my girlfriends godparents again. It was such a nice day. They have a lil lake or sea infront of their house and we went with the boot on it. Later we played this game, I guess it's called "Air Hockey". This is so much fun. I lost everytime, but I played it the first time......

I told you guys that the promoter from the Whiskey Sky invited me again, but we didn't go because it was too late and we do not have enough time for everything anyway. But I am happy about all the feedback I got here. It gave me so much energy to play here and I know again that there are people outside wich love the music and prefer some quality instead of sunglasses and big names.

Maybe I am going to watch the "Passion of the Christ" today, but I am not quite sure yet. It depends how much time we have. I think it's a good idea because the whole movie is with subtitles and I can understand better with subtitles. We will see.....

All right, I am going to celebrate easter now and I hope you are doing the same. Many greetings to everyone from my girlfriend Christine and some special Birthday Wishes to my friend Marcel from me and my girl.

cu

B.

Daily Diary 9

Good Morning everyone......
...We just woke up. It's 9:40 am. I feel so normal with the time here that I can't imagine to get used to my old time zone again......

Yesterday was easter and it was such a nice day. First we celebrated at my girlfriends house and later we decided to go over to her cousins apartement. We drank some beer and talked for hours.

Later we went bowling. That was cool. I mean I know bowling from germany, too; but this was original and cool. The building was so huge, I guess they have over 25 lanes, maybe about 50, I don't know. Well, I wasn't in last place, but unfortunately almost everyone was better than me.

And we played Air Hockey again. And guess who won? Yeah!!! I won!!! This time I kicked their ass.......

Oh, yesterday we drove with my girlfriends neighbours car. It's a very big conversion van. The van has 4 several big seats and one sofa in the back that you can make to a bed. It's just a very comfortable huge car!!! I felt like driving in a living-room.

I am leaving now. We go for breakfast with everyone and I will see the ghetto today. I am very excited about all and like usual I will tell you more later.

Have a nice day....

B.

Daily Diary 10

Hey Folks!!!

It's my last day in Chicago today!!!

I don't wanna go home, but I have to. I really do not miss anything so far, but I guess it's because I am on vacation...

The best thing is, that my girlfriend booked the tikets to visit me in the summer already!!!
Isn't that cool? Yuhuuuuuuu................. I am not home yet and she got the tikets already.

Yesterday I saw the ghetto. I saw 3 different ones. They are mostly in the south side of chicago. What can I say!? It's unbelievable how people can or have to live! It's really like in the movies.......

There is no vegetation and the houses are broke. The streets seem to be dead because no one is out without some gangs hanging up on the streets.

I took some pictures which I can show you later. I have to mention that I almost peed in my pants.
Well, I am going to watch another movie now and get ready for my flight.

I hope you like my newsletter and I can't wait to see some of you guys next week. Thanks for reading my newsletter and the nice feedback I got.

This was definetely my best vacation so far and I can't wait to come back. I would love to see L.A. one day or maybe Miami or San Francisco......

Chicago DJ Tour Pt. 2 - Daily Diary -

08.09.2004 - Arrived in Chicago

Hello everyone!!!

I arrived well in Chicago yesterday and this is my first "Daily Diary". Whoo - whoooo!!!!!
How are you guys doing?
The city is still very amazing for me and I love to be here. Just after I arrived I was catched by the flair of this awesome city!!!

Tomorrow is my first tour gig and I am excited. By the way, the new record bags I bought are awesome quality!!! Nothing happened to them over the flight and they are just good, so go and buy a UDG Record bag when you're a DJ.
Tomorrow I'll be playing at Euro Club. People say it's a polish club and I'll do the start up with some house tunes. Hopefully Christine can get in, too.

Oh, I have to tell you. I just watched a very good movie. It's called "Eurotrip". It's a comedy - really cool. Check it out if you get the chance...

Well, the weather is different and weird here as the city is known for. This morning it was cloudy and kinda could, but now it's sunny and warm, but it gets very windy, weird, eh?

My girlfriend is working the whole af ternoon, that means I am alone, yes, completely alone in the jungle of the big city. But I always find something to do. I guess I will sit outside on the new porch, that her father build up, and read one of the books I lately bought. Well, Michael Moores "Dude Where's My Country?" sounds good ...

...I wish you a nice day and I am always happy about some e-mails.

-peace-
Booming

10.09.2004 - Played at Euro Club

Hey folks...

...this is my second "Daily Diary" and I know that I am late, sorry for that, but many things are going on here and that's good tho...

Yesterday was my first tour gig and it was great. I played at Euro Club, a polish place, and the night worked out good. The club is really nice and like always over here, the soundsystem booms. There were not that many people out there, or not yet while I played because I played really early, but the promoters liked my set and they already booked me for Winter time, great eh?! My girlfriend could come in without any problems which you know is not usually like that. We were lucky this time.

For all you burger fans, I had a big original american burger yesterday, just good, I really love the burgers over here, could eat them all day long, hehe...

I have to mention that I do not come out that much, cause my girlfriend has school and work almost every day and it's kinda hard to go alone, or at least risky to get lost in this big city. Imagine I would take the wrong bus and end up in the south side!? Uuups, this is not where I parked my car...

Well, tonight I'm gonna play for the AMP Crew which is actually Andrew Shear and some others. He is the one who organized me the booking in the Whiskey Sky last time. Remember? The Lounge / Club in the 33rd floor of the W. Hotel at Lake Shore Drive. Awesome place and one of the best bookings on my last tour. He has a new location now and I can't wait for tonight, even my settime is better, because I'll play kinda primetime! Some people contacted me and they wanna join me there, which is really cool. I'll keep you guys updated about that in my next Diary.

The weather is not that nice at the moment. It's often cloudy and like always it's fuckin' windy all day long. But when the sun comes out, it's pretty nice and warm.

Oh, I have to tell you, tomorrow is my girfriends Birthday and also the german fest in Chicago. They have a district with german stores, shops, restaurants and so on. And this weekend, from Friday to Sunday is the german fest. They close the streets and have a parade. Christine (my girl) is part of this parade. She is also working on the german fest for some hours and I met someone yesterday who works there at the bar, which means - free beer for me, myself and I, hehe
I am really excited about this fest and I hope it's not too much like german fests usually are!!!

One thing I noticed about the club scene here is, that the people never move out of their area to go out to other clubs. People from the north side always party in the north side and people from the south side would never come to the north side to party there, you stick with your hood! Like yesterday, it was a polish place where usually only polish people meet up. I read about that in an article about the house music scene in chicago, but that was in 1990. Obviously nothing changed about that!

All right, I guess that's it for today and I hope you like my daily diary, at least it's a bit longer one. Enjoy your day and write me if you're bored or get the time. I am going now to read in my book that I started yesterday, which is actually really cool. I like this Michael Moore guy.

bye bye
Booming

11.09.2004 - Christines Birthday

Hello everybody!!!

I have bad news about yesterday. The party at the Bar Celona was cancelled! The owners double booked a party that night. Really shitty, but shit happens... So, I didn't play at Bar Celona yesterday, but we're trying to reschedule that gig on another date soon.

As you all know, today is my girlfriends birthday and because I am a good boyfriend, I thought it's a good idea to get some flowers for her yesterday. So, her brother and me went to a flower shop and got some nice roses, which were actually more than expensive. Well, we got the flowers, went back into the car and left the parking-lot. My girlfriends brother just wanted to fasten his seatbelt, when we passed a police car and he directly told me: "They gonna pull us over!" He was right, the police car followed us and pulled us over not even half a mile later. But that's not all. When the policeman came to the drivers window and asked for my girlfriends brothers insurence pappers, Chris (my girlfriends brother) couldn't find them! So, now he has to go t o the court and he got two tikets.

We also went to the german fest yesterday and my worries about that type of fest were proofed very fast. I don't want to spend too much words about that because I didn't come to Chicago to celebrate a kind of "Schuetzenfest". Let's just say it was ok because we got free beer and it's always as good as you make it.

The bad thing is, today I have to go again, hopefully they have enough beer...

OK, I am tired and moody today and I have to leave soon, I wish you a nice day and wait for my next daily diary...

B.

12.09.2004 - The German Fest

Hey Ho everybody,

...how are you guys doing today?
I am feeling sick and tired of yesterday. We were at the fest (german fest) in Chicago and it was horrible. I know why I didn't go to that type of fest the last 10 years in germany... ...no more words about that thing!!!

Today we watched another good movie. It's called "King of the Ants". Like last time, I understand more and more, but it's still very hard without the subtitles.

I might be go fishing next week. Christine's dad asked me if I wanna go with him. They have a house on an island around Chicago, you have to go by boot to come there. I hope we gonna do that, because I have never been fishing in my life!

This evening I am gonna take my girlfriend out for dinner because of her birthday yesterday. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to do that yesterday. We will go to a nice italian place and the most of you should know that I love this kind of food.

OK, today I am not really in the mood to write more, but I hope you still enjoy my diaries...

I wish you guys a wonderful day or night!

B.

14.09.2004 - I Wanna tell you a story about a warehouse

Hey folks,

...this time I got some really good news for ya!!! The promoters from "Club Euro" offered me another gig, cause I told them that AMP Productions cancelled one of my tour gigs and I would have an open slot tho...

That means that I'll play this Thursday again at Club Euro and this time I am booked as the headliner or at least for the prime time!!! Great, isn't it!?

Well, I am really happy about the news and I can't wait to play there again... ...here is my current schedule by the way:

Thursday, 16th of Sept.:
CLUB EURO - Chicago [settime: 11:30 - 02:00]
5415 W. Irving Park Rd.

Friday, 17th of Sept.: LA TABERNA - Chicago
[settime: 12:00 - 01:00]
abs 3358 N. Ashland.

Wednesday, 22nd of Sept.: BETTYS BLUE STAR LOUNGE - Chicago
[settime: 11:00 - 01:00]
1600 W. Grand St.

I am gonna visit the old * original * Warehouse club here in Chicago. The building still exists and I found out where it's located. It's far away from my girlfriends house and kinda risky because it's in the south side, but it will be fine when we go over the day. Can't wait to touch the holy walls, ...you know?

The address of the Warehouse was or is 206 South Jefferson and the City of Chicago recently named this portion of South Jefferson "Honorary Frankie Knuckles Way".

Some people also told me that there was another Warehouse club after the first or original one closed it's doors. Dj's such as Armando, Boo Williams and Mike Dunn used to play there back in the days. We will see, but I'll try to see and experience as much as possible while I'm here in Chicago, the birthplace of House Music!!!

Today we were in Arlington Heights, a nice and quite suburb of Chicago, peaceful and more the country side or a really far away suburb. People were washing their cars or having yard sales, everything was nice and clean and nothing was going on...

I also got in contact with Mike Dearborn lately and we might meet soon. I hope it's gonna happen because I like his music and style a lot. He actually plays both, house music and techno music, but always kinda underground...

OK, that's it for today, I gotta go to bed and wish you guys a nice night or day, which ever you're having right now...

15.09.2004 - Classics for handful of dollars

Hello everybody,

...it's me again, this is my 6th Daily Diary! I hope you guys are doing well, cause I am doing very very well!!!

Yesterday, I've met John Daminato, he's a local DJ and producer. It was such a nice meeting. Also, first time ever I mixed with this final scratch tool, that's not too bad...

It was very interesting to speak about the recent House Music Scene in Chicago. It seems like at the end it's all over the world the same process. Some people are getting big and bigger in the game while others are not even known anymore. The famous Rave Scene of Chicago is dead, but the club scene is recently overwhelming, even when there are not enough guests for all these clubs!

But everyone has to struggle, like everywhere...

I might gonna meet John today again, cause he wants to show me some record shops in the Chicago area. I checked the internet store of Gramaphone Records and guess what they do offer there? Yep, they do offer all the classics such as Lil Louies "French Kiss", original on Trax Rec., or Farley's "Love Can't Turn Around", Josh Wink & Lil Louis "How's Your Evening So Far", or Frankie Knuckles "Baby Wants To Ride" for seven bucks each!!! It took me two or three years to collect the most of them for much more money, but if I get the chance to get to this record shop, I'll buy the complete Classics collection they offer, no doubt man!!!

Well, the weather is still weird, but it's summer, yeah, it's summer over here. I guess they got over 30 degrees the last days and it wont stop being nice and sunny. Actually, I have to mention that it's kinda to warm for myself! (I know that Andrew will hate me for that, hehe...)

OK, that's it. I guess I am gonna play some stupid computer games now and relax...

16.09.2004 - Grammophone Records

Hey folks,

...whatz up? I had such a wonderful day yesterday and I'm gonna tell you in this Daily Diary about it!!!

Yesterday, John Daminato picked me up from my girlfriends house and we went straight to "Gramaphone Records". All I can say is WOW!!! Actually that was the first time since 4 or 5 years that I've been to a real record store, which is sad enough, but this was just unbeliveable... Gramaphone excists for over 20 years now and is probably one of the most famous record stores in the world. They got everything you wish for if you like House Music!!! From soulful stuff to tracky oldschool, the complete genre of deephouse to tons of records by producers that I even forgot about and classics, classics and classics!!! And the best is, no Milk&Sugar, Kontor, almost no Defected, Subliminal or any other shit like that. Just quality music!!! Well, I bought only 3 records, cause I do not have that much money and I am planning to go there again anyway...

Oh, guess who I met at Gramaphone Records? I met "Lego" and "Colette" and there were for sure other big names yesterday, but John didn't introduce me to all of them. I guess I saw "Fast Eddie", but I am not quite sure. It was so cool and inspiring and and and....

This record store is for sure the best I've ever experienced, but they didn't have the record I was searching for, hahahahaha.... .....must be a rare one, eh?!

OK, afterwards we went over to John's house and rocked the decks for an hour or so and I also got the chance to have a closer look at the final scratch tool again. The point that makes this tool very interesting is, that you get the oppurtunity to mix with as many music as you want, but it's still not the feeling like mixing with the black gold.

I also got the chance to hear some of Johns and his roommates own produced music and I have to say they do a good job, but I will tell you more about that later...

We're going to "Walker Brothers" now, it's a famous breakfast place over here. I am hungry, hehe.....

OK, have a nice day and write me if you get the chance...

18.09.2004 - late again

Hello everybody,

...I know, I know, I am late again, but I really had not the mood to write yesterday and we had a lot of things going on.

Well, I had two dj gigs the last days, here we go... On Thursday I played at Club Euro again and it was just ok. Don't need to make it better as it was, because there were no people out there! The promoter said it was because "Chris Liebing" played at Soundbar that day and most of the people decided to go there instead of Club Euro. Also, the same promoters that let my girlfriend in last time, kickt her out this time, can you believe it? Isn't that weird? But I had fun and the promoters were really happy with my set which is a more important thing for me than anything else.

Yesterday I played at La Taberna which was pure fun. A nice lounge / bar with good drinks and food. There were a lot of people out there compared to Thursday night and I played mostly soulful stuff and lots of Disco originals, too. I guess the people really enjoyed it because some of them came over and Thanked me for the music and way of mixing...

I have to tell you a funny thing, which usually shouldn't be funny. They have a zoo in Chicago, which shows animals such as cows, chicken, horses and other for us familiar animals. Now you gonna ask me why? Well, it seems like some people do not even know where the milk comes from, no joke. They never get the chance to see animals like that. Now I am asking you, is that sad or funny, I don't now...!?!?!?!?!?

Oh, by the way, today we got some food from Mc Donalds. My girlfriend went there to get the food and when she came back and we opened the bags, we saw that they gave us 12 Cheeseburgers and 4 or 5 French Fries for 8 bucks, but we ordered 2 menus!!! I wanted to keep the food, but unfortunetely my girlfriend doesn't like Cheeseburgers or French Fries. Damn!!! She went back to MC Donalds and got the right order, but I kept 2 Cheeseburgers, hehe....... and got my menu, too. I guess they send me back with 5 pounds extra on my rips.

I am almost done with the Michael Moore book and I have to say that he is as fanatic as the people he complains about. You can tell that he is not even better the way he tries to proof his complaints than many of the politicians. I mean it's good that he opens his mouth and I like many of the arguments in his book, but for me he is as fanatic as the people he complains about!!!

Today we're going to my girlfriends cousins wedding. His name is "Rheini". I had to buy new pants, a belt and shoes for that thing, because they have special rulez for a wedding over here. I also have to wear a tie, oh my god, I have never worn a tie in my life!!! Anyway, I am excited about it and I'll keep you informed about that in my next Daily Diary...

...so long, ahve a nice weekend and keep writing me!

B.

19.09.2004 - Wedding

Hey Folks,

...it's me again. How are you doing?! I hope all is well and you got as nice weather on this wonderful Sunday as we got here in Chicago!

Today we're celebrating my girlfriends birthday at her house and all the family and some friends are coming over. I'm gonna tell you more about that in the next diary...

Yesterday we were on the wedding. It was really a huge wedding, there were more than 350 people and it was located at a banquet hall called "Belvedere". I have never been to a wedding like that. Everything was very very fancy!!! It was an italian / german wedding. They had very good food, such as potatoes, steak, shrimp and before you got a soup and salat and other things. Afterwards they served a lot of desert. For one or two hours you thought it's all about food, hehe...
They also had a live band, which was really good! They played from Earth Wind & Fire and other disco classics to Jazz Music and the usual party music. It was really good tho...
I heard people speaking about the costs of the wedding and I often heard it was about 30 to 40 thousend bucks. My girlfriends mom said it was probably even more...
Well, I am happy to have had the oppertunity to experience an event like this!!!

OK, we're going to hang out in the garden now and celebrate my girlfriends birthday with her family and some friends, I wish you guys a wonderful rest of the weekend and keep writing me...

B.

21.09.2004 - Waiting for "Bettys Blue Star Lounge"

...this is my 10th Daily Diary, yuhuuuuuu...!!! How are you doing? I hope all is well, there is not that much response from you lately. You should be ashamed!

Well, yesterday we were at my girlfriends god parents house for a short time. We had to pick up a new printer for my girlfriend which she got for her birthday from her godmother. It's a cool printer with a lot of features, I am jealous...

Tomorrow is my last tour gig at "Betty's Blue Star Lounge". I hope it's going to be a good night and that the people like my music again. I'll keep you updatet...

By the way, the weather is still so nice here, we have always something between 25 and 30 degrees and with the wind it's just nice and not too hot outside.

I am planing to go back to "Gramaphone Records" if I have the time and some money left. I would like to get one or two more classics, hehe, they have so much there...

Some of you guys asked me about pictures, so, I took about 175 so far, but I will take more, don't worry!!! Basically I took more interesting ones this time, not as many houses and public stuff like last time. Anyway, you will get to see them when I am back to germay, because I'm gonna make a gallery like last time...

OK, that's it for today, have anice and relaxed day and write me back...

B.

23.09.2004 - i be there for you

Hey guys,

...this is a very sad 11th daily diary! Unfortunately I had to cancel my booking yesterday at the "Bettys Blue Star Lounge", because yesterday evening we got the message that my girlfriends grandmom has cancer!!! You can imagine that no one of us was anymore in the mood to go to out and I have a more important job to do than djing right now...

I feel very bad for my girlfriend and her family, but I am thinking positive!!! The surgery is on Monday and we all have to think positive, that's the only way that makes sense and helps her grandmom!!!

I hope and feel that she will be fine...

B.

24.09.2004 - Booking at "Zentra Night Club"

Hey fellas,

...how are you doing? Everything cool? I hope so. We're doing ok today and it's such a wonderful day today!!! My girl is at school right now and I am relaxing, writing e-mails and checking things on the net.

We went to some outlet stores yesterday because I tried to get some things for myself and my dad. You can't imagine what the size "M" or "L" means here, it's unbelievebale, but they sell tents and not clothes. The size "M" or "L" is like our "XL" or "XXL", no joke! So, I didn't find anything for my dad or my self, even size "S" is way to big for me and they do not have much of it anyway. But the prices are more than cool, they have some Nike shoes for 20 to 40 bucks, that's cool, huh?!
Well, I will try to go today again and get a pair of these cool Nike shoes and by the way, Ingo, I didn't find the Air Max 97 for a cool price, yet!

I heard from some of you guys that the summer is over in germany and it's raining a lot lately? Well, I guess autumn is already there, eh?!

This Saturday, We're gonna have dinner with the promoter from Club Euro and his wife. He is trying to organize me a booking at "Zentra Nightclub" for my next tour in december! If you remeber, I played at Zentra on my first tour with "Gene Farris". It was an awesome night and I would like to play there again!!! By the way, you should hae a look at their website, the monthly line up is amazing, just check it out! http://www.zentranightclub.com/

I hope I get the chance to take some more pictures, because I didn't take enough so far. But on the other hand I don't wanna take the same ones as last time, I guess we saw enough houses, or? Anyway, I will try my best to get some more cool pictures on my last days...

OK, that's it for today, I hope you still enjoy my daily diary and I will keep you updatet.

B.

25.09.2004 - Leaving Tommorow

Hey folks,
...today is Saturday and I gotta leave Chicago tomorrow. Unfortunately!!! The time goes by so fast, it's unbelievable...

Yesterday was a nice day. We were out for dinner with my girlfriends cousin and her husband. They all wanted to go to the italian place again and it was definitely a good idea. I mean this place is very expensive, but very good, too!

Afterwards we went to a big grocery store. That was amazing, you can't imagine what and how much you can get there. I have to tell you about these jelly beans with different flavors made by "Jelly Belly". You can get them with "Spinach, Green Apple, Spaghetti or Black Pepper flavor", but you can also get "Soap, Ear Wax, Dirt and even Vomit flavor"!!! Isn't that disgusting?! My girlfriend bought them and we all tried one bean with different flavor, but I couldn't get passed myself for more than a bean with "soap" flavor! The thing is, it really tastes like soap, so I don't wanna imagine to try the vomit flavor, not at all!!!

In the evening we were invited to her neighbours house who had a little party going on. That was fun. There were like 20 to 25 people all over the house. We had a couple of beers and we also played some cards, but we had to leave early because my girlfriend has to work today. She stood up at 5.45 in the morning! I guess she will be very tired when she comes back.

Well, today is kind of our last full day and we planed to visit some friends later, maybe I get the chance to see the big museum, or we just hang out and do nothing, we will see! I wish you all a wonderful weekend and I will see some of you guys very soon.

Interview

15.12.2004 - "Lucky as hell..."

Hello everyone!!!

First, yesterday, my travel day, was just a lucky day for me. It started when I flew from Paderborn, my city, to Frankfurt (Germanys International airport). There were so many free seats on the plane that I had a free one next to me. When I arrived in Frankfurt and checked in again, the guy from Lufthansa told me that I would have a really bad and uncomfortable seat on the flight to chicago cause the plane is overbooked! You can imagine that I wasn't happy about that and I asked him to give me a better one. He said that there is no better one because the plane is overbooked. Then he saw that I'm gonna have my birthday this Saturday and he said: "Well, I guess we're going to make you a special birthday gift!" I asked him what that means and he said : "OK, I booked you up in the buisness class for free!" Man, I couldn't believe it! Yeah, I was lucky as hell...
OK, the buisness class rocks. They bring you everything and you have so much space and the standard of comfort is so much higher!!! They treat you like a lil prince, hehe . This was the first time that I didn't want to get from the plane, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha .....

The weather is really nice here, it's cold and we got a blue sky today! I love the winter time and I pray everyday for snow while I am here... I hope so much that it's gonna snow soon, at least for Christmas and New Years Eve!!!
Tomorrow is my first tour gig at Club Euro. Can't wait to meet the guys again. I hope it's gonna work out good and that some more people come out compared to last time. I will keep you updated...

Well, this was my first Daily Diarie, I hope you still enjoy it and I wish you guys a wonderful time...

B.

16.12.2004 - "...kinda sick!?"

Hello out there...

...how are you guys doing today? I hope all is well. I am doing fine, but I guess I got a cold lately. It's really very cold here, which is not my problem, but somehow I got kinda sick.

Anyway, today is my first tour gig. I hope I am gonna feel better later today. Can't wait to meet Steve and Igor, the guys behind Bohemian Music and play for them. I might go with another promoter to Club Euro this evening, cause my girl is not coming with me anyway. We will see...

Here, for those of you guys who didn't see it already, have a look at the flyer.

You all know that I like to watch movies, so yesterday we went to Blockbuster and rent three movies. We watched a comedy called "Elf" which was really funny and also "The Day After Tomorrow". The second movie wasn't as good as I hoped for, but it made me and my girl think about the future of the world. The movie is about an upcoming ice age and why it happens to the world. It's because we don't take care of the world and use all resources and polution and all that stuff!

Well, the point is that the possibility that it really happens sooner or later is quite sure. We all should think more about how we treat our world and especially here in the USA you can see everyday why it probably will happen one day. It's unbelieveable how they spend the resources of our planet and do less in points such as environment or waste separation. Anyway, I don't want to nerv you with that, it just seems to be important to me.

By the way, like always, feel free to write me an e-mail whenever you get the time and mood...

OK, I wish you a wonderful day.

B.

17.12.2004 - "Club Euro"

Hello out there!!!

I just woke up and here is my third Daily Diary.

Yesterday I played at Club Euro. It was good. They rebuild the outside of the club and it looks really cool now. I tried to take a picture, but it didn't come out very good, so I will go there again over the day and take one. My settime was from 9:30 til 11:00. I really enjoy going to Club Euro cause the people are such nice there. Even when the club isn't full of people these guys know how to make a good party! Yesterday were more people out there because someone celebrated his birthday. Oh, and I guess I have seen them recording my set, I am not quite sure, but I really hope so.

I have to mention one thing. The main reason why I like to spin in Chicago so much, is the way the promoter treat you and deal with you. It's an easy and especially fair thing. If the dj does a good job he deserves money and respect. If not, then it was the last time that he played for the promoter. Hard but fair! People show me a lot of respect over here and I always try to do a good job. That's how it should be and it works.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I am gonna celebrate with my girl over the day and spin at La Taberna later in the evening.

I hope that I get some e-mails from you guys, so long, take care and keep writing me anyway, hehe.....

B.

18.12. - "My Birthday"

Good Morning everybody...

...today is my BIRTHDAY!!!
I hope you guys are doing well.

First, I wanna thank everyone who has send me an E-Mail for my Birthday. That was really nice of you, THANK YOU!

And those of you who didn't - be ashamed!!!

OK, today I planed to do a lot of stuff. First, I will have a nice and long breakfast with my girlfriend and then we're going shopping a lil bit.

The weather is kind of nice here, it's getting more and more cold, but the sky is almost every day blue and nice. Everyone mentioned that I am really lucky with the weather.

This evening I am celebrating and playing at La Taberna Tapatia. I have a feeling that it will be very good, especially because the promoter told me that lately the lounge is always packed with people. Also, we made a lot of promotion, so it should be a good night today!!!

Some of my friends are supposed to meet me there, but everyone is very busy these days, so I am not quite sure if I am really gonna meet everyone. Anyway, tonight we're gonna have some fun!!!

OK, it's time time to wake up my girl and start the day, but before I have to recommend something to you guys. I saw this great movie yesterday, it's called "White Chicks" and it's a comedy. Man, this movie is so funny, I couldn't stop laughing!!! Check it out if you get the chance.

I wish you a wonderful day and don't forget to keep writing me, I really miss to get an e-mail from some of you guys...

B.
20.12. - "La Taberna Tapatia"

Hello everyone...

...how are you guys doing? I hope all is well. I am late today, but better late then never, right?!

Ok, yesterday was my birthday and it was such a wonderful day. I spend it with my girlfriend which made this birthday even better for me. We went for dinner together and we went shopping together. I got some real nice T-Shirts tho...

These outlet stores or department stores are really cool. You get a lot of well known brands for a lower price or for less money. I paid like 10 bucks each T-Shirt, that's really cheap, isn't it?

Later we went to La Taberna Tapatia where I was playing my birthday set! It took us very long to get there, because it started snowing yesterday evening and it's really cold now! Well, and because of that not so many people showed up, but still enough and more than you could have expected by this weather. I met a lot of people at La Taberna and my girl was with me as well. I took some cool pictures and all in all we had a great time!!!

Unfortunately they didn't record my set again. They told me that they would do it this time, but once again they didn't. Well, you can't do anything about it and the sound system wasn't good anyway. Maybe next time!!!

Today we just relaxed and watched some good movies so far, because my girlfriend got sick over night. She has a cold and feels not good. I try to care for her and hope not to get sick as well. But I am thinking positive cause it happens the way it's supposed to be anyway...

I really love to watch movies here, but the only thing that botheres me is that I don't understand them without the subtitles! I don't know why that is, maybe I got too used to it or maybe my English is just still too bad. I have no idea. Also, I fear to get to the point where you're so used to it that you will never understand the movie without, I don't know...

...maybe my old English teacher could give me an advice!?

OK, I gotta go now. I wish you all a good start in the next week and keep writing me...

21.12. - "...just relaxing"

Hey, hey, hey... ...the first week is almost over and I am late again, but you know what? I guess I'm just changing the time of writing my Diaries to the late afternoon my time for a while.

My girlfriend is really sick now, she got a cold. That's why we just hang out at home and relax, watching a lot of movies and eat a lot of good stuff. Her Dad made this housemade soup which I like very much, actually! He says that keeps us healthy, which is unfortuantely a bit late for my girlfriend. But it also should help her get fine again. I am feeling ok lately, I don't think that I get sick like my girl, otherwise I would be already! But we will see what happens...

It's really cold in the Chicago area now. They have minus 10 Fahrenheit, but I can't exactly say how many degrees that are. Some of you guys may tell me how many degrees are that?! Anyway, it's cold, that's fact and unfortunately too cold to snow. That's my problem with it.

Can you imagine that most americans don't use or have any winter tires. I mean I told you often enough about the weather in Chicago, I even experienced it now often enough my self and most of the guys living here don't have any winter tires. Man, that's unbelievable for me. The winter is so strong and extrem over here and the same goes for the summer, so why don't they have the right tires for the right weather!?

OK, I gotta go now and sorry for the wrong first version of this Diary. Something went wrong with the mail program.

22.12. - "...I make it quick!"
Hello everyone,
...this will be a very short Diary cause I am tired and out of time.

Today I was out for breakfast at a place called "Merilyns" which was very good. But I have to say that I don't really like the american breakfast. I mean I love the food here, but burgers, eggs, hamm, bacon, steak or even candy is just too much for breakfast! I got a bagle with cream cheese and some eggs.

I also went grocery shopping and got new movies. My girlfriend is at work right now and I am waiting for her to come home soon. I am really tired and can't wait to go to bed. I guess I am fighting not to become sick!!!

Tomorrow I am playing at Bettys Blue Star Lounge. Like always, I will keep you informed about that...

...so, keep writing me and good night.

23.12. - "Bettys Blue Star Lounge"

Hello everyone,

...I am sorry that I didn't write you guys yesterday, but many things were going on and also I didn't want to nerv you everyday with the same stuff, even when it's supposed to be every day one e-mail, because it's a "DAILY" Diary! You get it?! Ha ha ha ha ha ..........

OK, yesterday I played at Bettys Blue Star Lounge which was ok. Unfortunately the weather got very bad yesterday evening and not many people showed up. I am really not lucky in this point. I don't know, but it's always getting really cold and snowing on the days when I have to play. Not good!!!

Bettys Blue Star Lounge is a Lounge. I am really funny today, arn't I?! Well, it's a nice place and the sound system wasn't too bad either, but like I said, not many people came out and a party without people is not good. Maybe next time I am more lucky in this case.

The promoter is just a nice guy and while we had dinner together I found out that he lived in germany for like a year. We spoke about the scene in Chicago and about future projekts as well. He seems to be a very serious guy with very good connections!!!

I also met Lady D who owns D'Lectable Recordst. She is also a very nice person and plays some dope stuff. I really want to have some of the records she plays.
All in all it was a nice evening and by the way, even my girl could come with me without any problems at all.

Today we're going shopping again. We still need to buy some gifts and I guess my girl wants to buy things for herself as well. I am not really in the mood for that, but hey maybe I can find something nice for myself.

OK, I wish you guys a wonderful day and I guess I don't need to mention that you keep writing me, right?!

B.

27.12. - "Food, Gifts, Snow ..... perfect Christmas!!!"
Hello everyone!!! Long time no speak. I am sorry, but I guess the most of you did not even really miss me because you had a lot of things going on as well, uh?!

OK, the Christmas Days are over now and I got 10 pounds more on my rips. It's unbeliveable how much we ate the last days. Eating, eating, eating, ...that's all we did!!!

The fest itself was very good and not that much different to what I am used to. But I gotta tell you about one funny thing. They put all the gifts under the christmas tree and everyone sits around it on christmas evening. Every gift has a tag and one person gives the gifts one by one to the others who are supposed to get them! That is really funny and also very exciting!!! I got a lot of gifts, too.

On the 25th we went over to my girls relatives house and celebrated there again. That was kinda the same as the day before, food, gifts, relaxing and all that stuff. Well, after dinner my girlfriends mom and I decided to go for a walk because we felt so full. OK, we went outside the house, down the street, turned left then right and down another street. We were speaking all the time and then we did not really know where we are anymore. I told her that half a mile before already, but she said everything is fine! OK, we had to call in and tell them that we got lost. We tried to explain where we are and asked them to pick us up. At the end we found out that we were about 2 miles away from the house and we got totally lost. Everyone was laughing at us and it was the topic of the evening!

Later the promoter from La Taberna called me and asked me what we were up to do that night. I said that we're gonna meet friends of us and he asked if we would like to come over to La Taberna and hang out there. We decided to do that and I also brought my records and played a lil bit with the promoter. It was a very good evening tho....

Many people asked me to take some more pictures of people and locations and I did so. I took about 200 pictures so far and more then 100 pictures only of friends, dj's, family, relatives and party people!!! It's not that easy to take any new pictures now, because I took so many on my first two trips already and there is nothing new in the areas where we hang out. But I will take pictures of museums and downtown when we go...

By the way, we got a lot of snow lately. It's so nice cause it's not that cold anymore and mostly white outside. Real winter time!!!

My next official DJ gig is on the 8th of January, but I should meet some promoters before and work something else out. I probably will play one other gig before the 8th as well, but we will see and I keep you updated. Yesterday my own radio show "The Better Days Show" featured a live recording from one of my sets from chicago i april this year on the show. Sorry that I didn't tell you earlier, but we weren't home all day.

OK, I gotta go now. Breakfast is waiting and I guess my sweatheart just woke up. Please keep writing me and thanks for all your support...

29.12. - "The Chicago Institute of Art"

Hey Ho everyone...

...how are you doing??? I am doing very well.

We were out all day long and I saw so many nice things!

So, I'm gonna tell you about it in this Daily Diary...

Yesterday we went to see a museum in downtown Chicago. That was cool. My girlfriends cousin from germany came with us and we had a lot of fun together. The museum is called "The Chicago Institute of Art". It's huge and there were so many people out there yesterday because there was no cover. Anyway, we saw paintings of famous artists such as "Monet" or "Dali", we saw chinese and japanese art, we saw african art and I got the chance to see finally some american/indian art as well. I took some pictures, but you weren't allowed to use the flash of the cam, so many pictures didn't come out. There were so many things and the museum is really huge. We stayed for more than 3 hours, but it was so full and the air was so bad inside that we decided to leave a bit earlier than we planned before. It was a good decision to go there and I am very happy about it.

And to get to the museum we had to drive kinda through downtown and park there as well. It's still amazing. This city is soooo big, man, you can't imagine!!! Also, I got the chance to walk through some streets in downtown and experience that. WOW!!! I have never seen so many people at once. People everywhere and pure hectic and stressful live. I wouldn't wanna live there or be there often, but it's a great experience.

On Thursday I am planning to go downtown again, but just for some record shopping and to meet some friends. I hope I find some good stuff and like always I don't have enough money anyway. But I have to go. I love this shop! Hopefully I meet some famous dj's again.

We did so much the last days, which is actually very good, but also very expensive as well. Yesterday evening we went to the movies. I wasn't really in the mood after such a stressful day, so we made the deal that I could decide which movie. I decided Blade 3, I forgot the exact name of it, but it's the third part of the Blade movies. The movie rocks, dude!!! Pure action and nice effects. You gotta see it if you get the chance. Is that movie running in germnay yet?

Well, today we're just relaxing. I hope you guys are doing as well as me and I hope to get some more e-mails from you, so keep writing me and we stay in contact!!!

B.

31.12. - "Happy New Year !!!"

Hello everybody,

I hope you're having a good time and I really miss some of you out there...

We're planing to go to a private party today, so we will see how it works out. For sure I will tell you about that in my next Daily Diary!

OK, yesterday I met Bernie Brown from Global-Soul.com and we spend the whole afternoon/evening together while my girl had to work. He picked me up from my girlfriends work and droped me off when she was done working later in the evening. First, we went to Gramaphone Records and I found some really cool stuff. I gotta tell you. Most of you guys should know the double 12" of Armand Van Heldens "Funk Phenamona" on Henry Street Records (HS-502 ...I guess!?), right?! I am speaking about the Remixes, Johnick remix and MAW remixes and so on... Well, I got this rare vinyl for 2,99 US Dollars ($)!!!!!

Yes baby, you got it right, 3 bucks !!!

I also bought the new Blaze/Basement Boys Compilation, forgot the name, the cover with crossed hands or something. This was only 10 bucks and I finally got one of Honey Dijons label, Peaches Records. Cool stuff!!! Oh yeah, and I bought an Album of Cajmeres Cajual Records...

I could have bought a lot more, but I am really broke now, hehe, anyway I am happy about what I got so far, better than nothin' right?!

After that we went to Bernies condo and spend some time there. That was good as well. He showed me his setup and some other interesting things. I guess and hope that there is some serious stuff coming out soon...

Later we had dinner and just spoke about several things. He is just a nice dude and I hope to see him again. He might come out to my last booking at La Taberna and I would greatly appreciate to see some of you as well.

Oh, there is one thing I have to tell you about New Years Eve in Chicago that I saw on the News today. One of the big problems the police has to deal with on New Years Eve is the fact that people use their guns to shoot in the air kinda like fireworks! Many people get wounded or even killed by the bullets that fall down from the sky!!! Today they said on the news that the number of killed or wounded people went down from 660 to 110 in the last 5 years and that it's still too much, but somehow it's unbelievable for me ..... I am fuckin' scared to get out around midnight today!!!

OK, that's it for today, have a good time and HAPPY NEW YEAR again !!!

B.

03.01. - "We had a great time..."

Hello everyone out there...

...it's me again, how are you doing lately? I am doing well and I hope you, too.

OK, long time no speak, cause I am always busy here! But I guess one long email in a couple of days is good enough and especially not overwhelming, right?!

New Years Eve was really good for us. We had a good time, dude, that was fun!!! We went to this privat party and I was surprised about the Location as well as the party peopz. There was just a good mood and I had a good time!

Even the music was really good. They played some smooth Acid-Jazz tunes and later some soulful house music mixes. Exactly what I needed to celebrat into 2005 and way better than I ever expected.

Also, they had a huge buffet. It was all included in 25 bucks we had to pay. The buffet was awesome, they had chicken, pork, 2 different types of nuddles, bread, shrimp, cheese stuff, potatoes and many more. At the bar you got every kind of liquor, cocktails, beer and champagne!!! Everything for free for only 25 bucks. That's cheap, isn't it?!

Well, we had a very good time and I got to know some cool and nice guys on this party. It was definitely a wonderful New Years Eve for me, I just can't remember the last hour of the night, hehe.....

What did you guys do? Tell me, write me, call me, whatever, I wanna know, so let me know !!!!!

The day after New Years Eve, called New Years Day, wasn't that good, cause I was still kinda drunk and tired. Anyway, I was able to drink, so I should be able to do other things as well, right! We went over to my girlfriends uncles house and celebrated New Years Day. Once again, food, drinks, food, drinks, food, drinks..... It was good and I fell asleep as a baby afterwards!!!

Can you remeber that I told you about the problem with guys shooting their guns on New Years Eve? I saw it on the news again, this year got 106 people wounded or even died because of that. Unbelieveable!!!

Today the last week of school started for my girl and I am home relaxing. She should come home in about an hour and I guess we don't go out today at all. The last days were enough for us...

I hope you guys are having a good time and please keep writing me more, I miss some of you guys!!!

B.

06.01. - "Winter time is my time!!!"

Hey folks,

It's awesome, it's beautiful, it's amazing. I love it so much! I think I have never seen so much snow in germany, except when I went snowboarding in the mountains.

This is definetely my kind of weather now!!!!!

OK, what do I have to tell you about, hmmm, let's start with this...

...I can't reach the promoter of Club Euro, which means that I am probably not playing at Club Euro tonight again. I don't know what he is doing or if he's maybe out of town or something, but fact is that I can't get a hold of him!

Anyway, this Saturday is my last tour gig at La Taberna. I hope and guess it will be a good night, because many people promised to show up. I hope so!

Today I am supposed to meet the promoter who organizes the parties at La Taberna and we should go record shopping again. I hope it's gonna work out, but because of the weather I don't know if he will pick me up. We will see...

How is the weather in germany at the moment???

One more muscial thing I gotta tell you guys about. When I spoke to Bernie Brown about the House Music Scene in Chicago nowadays and back in the days, he told me that actually Chicago was known and is known for a big "Disco" scene! Especially back in the days Chicago was on top with New York and San Francisco...

To be honest, I did not really know that, I always believed that Chicago is only known for it's House Music Scene and as the birthplace of this kind of music, but I'd have never thought that it could compete against New York, Philly and/or San Francisco!!!

All right, now I am gonna eat a special pizza and afterwards I gotta clean the backyard and infront of the house of the snow!!! Can't wait to do that...

Have a nice day and it would be nice to get an e-mail from the one or other of you guys!

B.

10.01. - "Time to say Good Bye..."

Hello out there,

...this is my last Daily Diary for you guys, cause I am leaving to the airport soon and I will go home to Germany!!!

Ok, I wanna Thank all of you who supported me and also all of you who signed for my Daily Diary and hopefully enjoyed it!

It was a great time and I had a lot of fun. I will update you with pictures and short videos as soon as I get home.

Have a good one...
